MECK Pre-K Evaluation Services

Project Description

  • The project is longitudinal in scope, tracking cohorts of MECK Pre-K students in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools through 5th grade. The evaluation examines language, literacy, math, and executive functioning child outcomes and classroom quality. 

Project Impact

  • Understanding Long-Term Educational Outcomes to determine the lasting effects on areas like literacy, math skills, and overall school readiness and success.
  • Informing Program Improvement and Best Practices by generating evidence-based findings that can inform continuous improvement efforts.
  • Contributing to the Field of Early Childhood Education Research as a longitudinal study focusing on a large, publicly funded pre-K program.
