NIRN Team Presents Symposium at SIRC on Shifting Evidence to Practice

Date Published: September 24, 2026
Focus Area(s): K-12 Education

The National Implementation Research Network (NIRN) team was excited to join colleagues from across the implementation science community at the biannual Society for Implementation Research Collaboration (SIRC) Conference.

On Saturday, September 26, at 1:00 p.m., NIRN presented “Connecting Evidence and Practice: Building Bridges for Effective Implementation.” The symposium brings together learning across several NIRN projects, including the SISEP Center, Virginia Evidence-Based Practices (EBP) initiative, and Effective Implementation Cohort (EIC), to explore how technical assistance can help bridge the gap between evidence and practice.

Drawing on experiences across diverse education systems and initiatives, the team shared lessons about building implementation capacity, strengthening technical assistance, and supporting the conditions needed to move evidence into sustained use.

The team enjoyed connecting with fellow researchers, practitioners, and implementation partners at SIRC and contributing to the continued conversation about how NIRN strengthens the bridge between what we know and what we do.
