NIRN’s Dr. Ximena Franco-Jenkins and Jake Leonard presented at the 2026 Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness (SREE) Conference, held September 23–26 in Baltimore, Maryland. Their participation highlighted NIRN’s ongoing work to bridge research and practice and advance the use of implementation science to strengthen educational systems. This year’s SREE conference brought together researchers and practitioners around the theme Education and Public Trust: Evidence and Accountability in a Changing Landscape.

NIRN’s Ximena Franco-Jenkins and Jake Leonard presented research on the Validation and Use of the Implementation Team Survey (ITS) at the Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness (SREE) Conference. Developed through the Effective Implementation Cohort, the ITS provides implementation teams with a tool to assess how effectively they work together while implementing evidence-based practices. Their findings suggest the ITS can serve as a reliable measure of team effectiveness and help teams use data to strengthen their implementation efforts over time.
