Focus Area(s):

The SISEP Center was represented by Dr. Angela Jack and Correy Watkins at the annual NE-PACT Conference in New Jersey this October.  NE-PACT provides TA to the 26 US Department of Education-funded parent centers in Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, US Virgin Islands, and Vermont. We work to enhance the capacity of parent centers to provide effective services to families of children with disabilities and/or at risk of inappropriate identification from diverse cultural, racial, ethnic, linguistic, gender/gender identity, and socio-economic backgrounds. Our goal is to increase high-quality, effective, and equitable services and positive outcomes for all infants, toddlers, children, youth, and young adults with disabilities and their families, especially those who face the greatest challenges to access.

Dr. Jack and Mr. Watkins presented the power of including critical perspectives in implementation.
