NIRN Presents at the Evidence and Implementation Summit
The Evidence and Implementation Summit 2025 brought together researchers, practitioners, system leaders, and partners from across sectors to explore what it truly takes to move evidence into practice at scale. The Summit focused on closing the persistent gap between what we know works and what actually happens in real-world systems—highlighting implementation as the critical bridge between research and outcomes.
Across sessions, participants examined how strong implementation infrastructure, leadership, teaming, and data-informed improvement cycles are essential for achieving equitable and sustainable impact. The Summit emphasized practical strategies for selecting and supporting evidence-based practices, adapting with integrity, and building capacity at the state, district, and organizational levels. Equally important were conversations centered on equity, partnership, and co-learning—recognizing that effective implementation must be responsive to context and grounded in the experiences of those most impacted.
The 2025 Summit reinforced a shared message: evidence alone is not enough. When paired with intentional implementation strategies, supportive systems, and collaborative leadership, evidence-based practices are far more likely to lead to meaningful and lasting change. Dr. Ximena Franco-Jenkins and Yolanda Perkins had the opportunity to share learnings from the Effective Implementation Cohort on this message. The duo from NIRN delivered both an oral presentation and a lightning talk. See the presentations below.
